Dalen Pointer
Dalen Pointer is a co-founder of Pointer Publishing House and the creator behind Clever Words + Pretty Things, where she shares teaching resources loved by classrooms everywhere. A veteran ELA teacher and lifelong reader, she’s now bringing her experience to the Pointer Publishing House.
Background
Dalen spent years as a middle-school ELA teacher, building classrooms where students were pushed to think deeply and still felt safe enough to take risks, make mistakes, and grow. That mix of rigor and joy runs through everything she makes and does in the classroom. When she isn’t teaching, writing, or dreaming up her next project, she’s usually reading just about anything, or spending time with family, both the human and the canine kind.
